We focus on products with authentic origins, strong connections to place, and stories worth sharing.

Ninh Bình, Vietnam
Born in the land where medicinal plants grow.
Beneath the limestone mountains of Ninh Bình lies Sinh Dược, a village whose identity has been intertwined with medicinal plants for centuries.
Local legend traces that tradition to the 12th-century Buddhist monk and physician Nguyễn Minh Không. Seeking a cure for Emperor Lý Thần Tông, who legend says suffered from a mysterious illness that caused him to take on the characteristics of a tiger, Nguyễn Minh Không journeyed into the mountains around Bái Đính in search of medicinal herbs.
There, he is said to have discovered an extraordinary abundance of medicinal plants. Drawing upon the herbs of the surrounding landscape and his knowledge of medicine, legend holds that Nguyễn Minh Không cured the emperor and shared his knowledge of the region’s plants with the local people.
Nearly nine centuries later, that connection between people, plants and place continues.
Today, Sinh Dược Cooperative carries this tradition forward, drawing upon generations of local botanical knowledge to create traditionally inspired personal-care products. By cultivating medicinal plants locally, supporting the surrounding community, and promoting the sustainable use and preservation of native botanicals, Sinh Dược seeks to protect both a cultural tradition and the landscape from which it grew.
BOTANICAL CARE & TRADITIONAL CRAFT
Today, Sinh Dược’s work extends across a range of locally produced beauty, personal-care and self-care products, inspired by Vietnamese botanical traditions and made with ingredients associated with the surrounding region. Its offerings include herbal hair care, botanical soaps, bathing and body-care products, herbal preparations and other everyday wellness products.
Beyond personal care, the cooperative also produces traditional and culturally inspired goods that reflect the crafts, materials and customs of the local community. Together, these products allow Sinh Dược to carry its heritage beyond the village—transforming local plants, knowledge and traditions into goods that can be shared with a new generation.

Traditional Vietnamese hair-care recipe, for modern women.
Rooted in generations of Vietnamese botanical tradition, MUN brings together ingredients long associated with Vietnamese hair care, including Bồ Kết, pomelo peel, Hương Nhu, lemongrass and patchouli.
Produced by Sinh Dược Cooperative in Ninh Bình, MUN draws upon botanicals cultivated locally by the cooperative and surrounding growers. Through sustainable cultivation practices and the preservation of traditional botanical knowledge, Sinh Dược works to maintain the connection between the plants it uses, the local community and the landscape from which these traditions emerged.
